Happy 1st Birthday to Elijah! We held this little guys session in the Joshua Tree National Park. His daddy loves to be out in the wilderness and climb rocks. Due to the fact that daddy is serving our country abroad he is unable to take his son. We decided to take him. It was so sweet to see him interacting with nature in a place he first visited with his daddy! I wanted to share a few images from the session. Happy Birthday Elijah! Your daddy will be home soon!!!

I was introduced to the Shebs family through a friend of mine. We, and by we I mean the kids and I, took a long weekend and traveled over to Vegas last month. This family is incredibly welcoming and allowed us to stay in their casita and swim in their gorgeous pool. While there we not only enjoyed their company but I also had the pleasure of shooting them. They recently lost their father/husband to cancer so I felt the incredible need to capture them not only as individuals but as the strong family they are.  Here are just a few of the gorgeous images I was able to capture.

Can’t forget the pooch. Meet Woofy:)

Thanks so much for the incredible weekend DeeDee.

I know this awesome family from my homeschool group. That and…. well… they are a fellow Marine Corps family! A few weeks ago I “shot” the kids as part of the school portraits I did for Growing Palms. Well Ms. Keeley didn’t want her picture taken then and was certain again this weekend that she was not having it done. We were lucky that the Marine Corps Band was playing across the field because  that seemed to hold her interest and allowed me to snap a few. I love to photograph these kids. The older two simply love being in front of the lens and it shows. Mom and dad were incredibly patient and let me do my thing. Here are just a sampling of the images we got….

Due to the fact that I love comments I am offering a free mini session to one lucky commenter if we hit 25! The winner will be chosen randomly.  I will even throw in a free 8×10 to the M family:) So share with your friends and family:)
