Who would have known? Certainly not me. But yes, yes it does snow in the desert. It actually snows a lot here in the desert. It happened to snow yesterday a few towns over and only got really cold here. Today, well, what do you know???? We wake up to snow! Serious, stick on the ground, throw snow balls snow! Talk about an early birthday present! I have seen snow in over 6 years. My 3 youngest have never seen snow. Talk about an exciting morning at our house. You would have thought Christmas came early.

Anyways…in between trips outside to pound each other with snow balls I tricked my kids into letting me take some pics.  Here are my kids:) Oh and an image of the snow coming down in front of our house this afternoon for those that don’t believe it actually snowed:)

Meet the Darby's

December 12, 2008

I know it has been awhile since I last updated and for that I apologize. I have been incredibly busy with…well… life.  Anyways,  I got to hang out with the Darby’s at Cap Rock in Joshua Tree National Park a few weeks ago.  It was crazy cold and we (atleast me and the kids) were freezing. Mama Michelle was sick to begin with and I am quite sure that sitting out in the cold while I clicked the shutter a gazillion times didn’t help much. I did talk to her yesterday and she sounded much better so no need to worry:)Dad Keith is quite funny. Doesn’t he look cute in that santa hat complete with mickey mouse ears?!?!?! The kids are adorable and just loved talking with them. I begged Michelle to let me photograph them again in the spring. Without further ado here are a few images from the session.Darby kidsRKidsimg_3247-editimg_3301-edit
